In launching the 2021 growing season, we remain committed to our mission as we take steps to once again welcome you back to the Farm, while at the same time adhering to safety guidelines as recommended by the CDC and the Connecticut Department of Agriculture.
This season, the Farm will continue to build upon an array of community-building initiatives with a combination of virtual classes and limited in-person activities managed in a socially distant manner. We will be hosting individual volunteers, small corporate service teams, community partners and visitors on a pre-scheduled basis, and we encourage you to explore our safe volunteer opportunities.
The Farm will once again be a hub for education as we welcome a variety of youth groups and partner with local schools to provide a hands-on learning experience. Likewise, the popular composting initiative remains in place, and we are grateful that you continue to drop off your compostable materials to help grow a sustainable community. As the season progresses, the fields will be bursting with greens, fruits, a variety of vegetables and flowers, all available to volunteers and the community through our in-person Farm Market.
As Stamford’s premier local food system, we remain dedicated to providing the support that our community needs as, together, we continue to navigate and celebrate the beauty of the season!
We look forward to seeing you at the Farm!
With gratitude for your continued support,
The Team at Fairgate Farm
