Fairgate Farm’s mission is to increase access to locally grown produce and to strengthen the community by celebrating healthy food through gardening, educational and harvest-related initiatives.
The Farm provides volunteer and educational opportunities to individuals, schools, companies, and community organizations to connect residents with their local food system, promote environmental stewardship, and build community cohesion.

Open Volunteering/Visiting Hours

Come by the farm to help out! Tasks vary daily and seasonally but can include watering, weeding, harvesting, washing veggies, bed prep, and more! We can typically find a task that works for all ages and mobility levels. No gardening experience needed! Come as you are. Please let Liz know you're planning to come by at 475-333-1362.

Community Fridge Volunteering

We are always looking for helpers who want to help stock our commmunity fridge with donations and distribute food to our neighbors. Spanish speakers, we could use your help!
Tasks may include:
- Sorting/organizing donations
- pass food out to neighbors
- bringing donations from recuer's car to fridge
- bagging/repackaging food items
- cleaning pantry and fridge
- organizing books
- breaking down cardboard boxes -
